GMS qualifies six out of eight entries for Nationals
High School Rowers win places
at the National Championships
GMS Junior Rowing team qualified a record number
of boats last weekend at the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Championships
held in Worcester, MA. The rowers competed for coveted spots at
the U.S. Rowing Junior National Championships to be held in Cincinnati
in June. The rowing conditions on Worcestor’s Lake Quinsigamond.
were especially challenging and the competition was fierce, with
approximately 800 competitors from 50 clubs and schools vying for
a limited number of entries, as only the top three finishers in
each race advanced to the national competition. GMS Rowing Center
is proud to acknowledge all our rowers for their hard work, determination
and many hours of training as well as to congratulate the winning
crews!
